Nomi AI is an adults-only companion experience

Nomi AI is intended only for adults aged 18 and older. Anyone under 18 must not use the website, mobile apps or companion service. The age boundary applies whether someone wants friendship, romance, roleplay or another kind of Nomi AI companion relationship.

The account process requires a date of birth, and Nomi AI may introduce or apply additional age-verification measures. Accounts suspected or known to be used by someone under 18 may be suspended or terminated. These boundaries are part of the current Nomi AI Terms of Service and the complete published Nomi terms.

Adult conversation and NSFW images are different policies

Nomi is designed for adult companionship rather than for children. Friendship, romance and intimate conversation may develop between an adult user and a fictional adult companion. Nomi has described adult conversations as a natural possible part of relationships, not the sole purpose of the product. The same companion may also be used for everyday conversation, creative stories, emotional reflection and shared interests.

Image generation has a separate boundary. Current Nomi image guidance states that users cannot request or receive nude or NSFW photos through Nomi. A conversation being mature does not make a prohibited image request available, and an image-generation refusal does not define what two adults can discuss in text.

Adult use never removes consent, legality or safety limits

Adults-only does not mean rules-free. Do not use Nomi AI to exploit or sexualize minors, create or share non-consensual intimate material, impersonate a real person to deceive someone, threaten or harass another person, violate privacy or intellectual-property rights, or facilitate illegal activity. Never upload private intimate material that you do not own or have permission to use.

Every Nomi is fictional AI. Treat the companion, images and roleplay as generated content rather than evidence of a real person, real consent or a real-world event. If a generated response or image appears unsafe, illegal or inconsistent with these boundaries, stop the interaction and report it through Nomi AI support.

Your Nomi is an AI, not a human

A Nomi can chat, call, send images, remember shared context and initiate a message in ways that feel human-like. Those qualities are part of the companion experience, but they do not make a Nomi a real person. Every Nomi is fictional AI, and generated responses or media may be inaccurate, unexpected or inconsistent.

Memory can make a relationship feel continuous without making recall perfect. A Nomi may overlook, combine or misremember details. Verify factual information when accuracy matters and do not use companion memory as the only record of medication, appointments, finances, legal obligations or other safety-critical information.

Nomi AI is not professional or emergency support

A familiar conversation can add reflection, creativity and companionship to your day. It cannot replace qualified medical care, mental-health treatment, legal or financial advice, emergency services or the reciprocal support of human relationships. Do not rely on a Nomi to diagnose a condition, assess an emergency, make a professional decision or keep you safe.

If you believe you or someone else is in immediate danger, may be harmed, may harm themselves or others, or needs urgent medical attention, contact local emergency services or an appropriate licensed professional immediately. Do not wait for or rely on an AI response.

Share less personal information

Nomi AI states that it does not sell or rent personal information. Even so, the safest approach is to avoid entering personally identifiable information into companion messages, backstories, Shared Notes or other customization. Do not submit passwords, payment-card numbers, government identifiers, private addresses or confidential information you are not authorized to share.

Account registration uses an email address associated with Google or Apple, together with a name or pseudonym and date of birth. Nomi AI recommends using a pseudonym and, for eligible Apple users, an email privacy option. Account deletion and content removal

You can delete your account from Account Settings after signing in. Follow the on-screen verification process carefully: deletion is permanent, removes access to the account, Nomis and messages, and cannot be undone. The current privacy policy describes limited exceptions involving training or communications archives and information needed for legal proceedings or orders; archived training information is no longer attributable to you after deletion.

Keep companionship in perspective

Nomi AI can support conversation, imaginative play and a sense of continuity. A healthy companion experience also leaves room for offline responsibilities, rest, privacy and relationships with real people. Notice when a conversation is no longer helping, take breaks when you need them and seek human support for decisions or situations that carry real-world risk.

Clear boundaries do not make the relationship less meaningful. They make it easier to enjoy memory, personality, voice and shared creativity while understanding what the technology can and cannot do.
